Bobby Ray is home from Texas for 30 days with his mother., Mrs. Crama Ray. Bobby has been in the Air Force for the past two years. The oc casion was held Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ber don Eddins. Refreshments for the celebration consisted of chicken barbecue and all the trimmings. There was, too, a beautifully decorated birthday cake for the honoree. Attending were Mr. Tippett’s wife, Mr. and Mrs. Carsey Tippett, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Tippett of Louisburg, Mr. and Mrs. Jab Tip pett, Mr. and Mrs. Rudell Massey, Mr. Eddins and Joe Wayne Tippett. Wakefield News (Crowded out last week) Mrs. Vera Rhodes and Cricket Gamble went to Raleigh last Wed nesday to see Richie Montague who was burned very badly sometime ago. She passed away Friday. Mrs. Helen Jones and Mrs. Vera Rhodes visited Mrs. Charlie Jones in Garner last Friday. Mrs. Helen Jones is counting the days when her son William and family arrive from Paris, France next month. Taylor, fac ulty members of the Shepard High School, spent the weekend in Rich land with Mrs. Taylor’s parents. Mrs. Lucille Parks is visiting her sister and relatives in Brooklyn, N. Y. The largely attended PTA of Shepard School was greeted and entertained by a unique play giv en by the 1st grade pupils direct ed by Mrs. C. M. Lamb, which was highly appreciated by every one. Each participant starred in his own rite and wore away laurels. NOTICE The recent ordinance for the licens ing and regulations of dogs becomes in full force and effective on March 10, 1958. The dog licenses are on sale at the Town Office. Every dog must have a license and be registered at the Town Clerk's office.
